Since 1989 when the Turkey Run was moved to the speedway property, the Car Show portion of the Turkey Run has been operated by the Daytona Beach Street Rods. The Admission gate, Car Corral, Swap Meet, Crafts sales and Food Vending have been under the direction of the Racing District.

In 1990 the Racing District started a new show.  Held the 3rd weekend in March of each year, the show has had numerous names over the years.
It’s been called the “Speedway Spectacular”, “Weekend of Wheels” and the “American Motor Weekend”.
While it looked like a “mini” Turkey Run it never really caught on for a lot of reasons.
Perhaps the biggest reason was that it was never really run by “Car Guys”, like the Daytona Beach Street Rods.

The Daytona Beach Street Rods are proud to announce that the March show will now be called the Spring Turkey Run.
The Car Show show will be run EXACTLY like the original Thanksgiving Turkey Run.
All swap meet and car corral operations will be EXACTLY as before. Same personnel, same format, same spaces, etc.

The Daytona Beach Street Rods are really excited to bring you the Turkey Run TWICE a year!
